Who We Are

Modeus Designs is a small web design firm based in Bellingham, Washington. We're dedicated to providing you with professional and affordable solutions for your web design needs. We specialize in designing, building, and maintaining quality web sites for local and small businesses, as well as individual professionals and artists. In more personal terms, Modeus Designs is owned and led by Bellingham denizen Jeremy Mattocks, currently a student in good standing at the Western Washington University. Modeus also often functions as a cooperative team of independent designers and developers called the Modeus Crew.

Our Mission

We of Modeus Designs have made it our mission to provide quality web design service in a professional manner for a cost the everyday business owner can afford. Furthermore, it is our philosophy that in order to provide the best service, we must always be centered on our clients, remaining focused on their needs and involving them in the process until the completion of the project. While Modeus Designs is dedicated to providing affordable services, we also stay loyal to our contractors, and compensate fairly according to their contributions and abilities.

Our vision for Modeus Designs is to become an established provider of our services within the local area, and continue to expand outwards while maintaining our target audience of real, everyday, small business owners.

The Crew

While Modeus Designs does not have traditional employees, we do have a group of affiliated subcontracters whom we've established a close relationship with. This growing list of individual, independent freelance designers and developers forms what we call the Modeus Crew. Each member, though a valuable and unique asset to our team, is employed on a contract-based, project-by-project basis.

We currently have access to subcontractors who have strengths in programming, databases and servers, graphic design, and photography, who are ready and willing to accept work when necessary, though we hope to grow and expand our affiliations in the future. Company Policies

Modeus Designs does not descriminate based on race, religion, gender, creed, or sexual preferences.

Modeus Designs reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, no questions asked.

Modeus Designs vows to keep your information private. The information you provide Modeus Designs with for business purposes goes no further. We do not sell, trade, or give client information of any kind to other companies, organizations, or individuals. Basic client information may be kept on record for purposes of simplifying further transactions. Sensitive information is kept private and secure. For your security, we do not keep credit card information on our servers.

It is the policy of Modeus Designs to require 50% of the estimate or project cost after the signing of the contract and before proceeding with the project. Modeus allows fifteen (15) days to receive this payment. After fifteen (15) days, if Modeus has still not received payment for 50% of the estimate or project cost, Modeus may choose to charge a late fee or cancel the project due lack of client cooperation. Terms of cancellation, refunds, and payment schedules will be worked out with the client on a project-by-project basis.

Modeus Designs reserves authorship rights, including the right to showcase in our portfolio any new work we create.
